Innovation has been in our DNA since the beginning. Created by 5 students from UNICAMP in 1987, Matera (at the time called Software Design) emerged with the purpose of solving the market’s needs through technology. Years have passed, crises were overcome until the financial market finally became our target for transformation. Today, we are a company that develops technology for the financial market: traditional and digital banks, fintechs and risk management. We have been building and rebuilding ways to bring improvement opportunities not only to our market, but also to the lives of people who are involved in this process for 33 years. More than developing technology, we develop solutions for the future.

When we stop to look at our history so far, a feeling of great pride arises. Our purpose is transforming the national financial market and the whole ecosystem involved. To achieve this, we have to be prepared to take risks and participate in decisive moments in the market. We are gradually helping to design a more inclusive, democratic and open Brazilian financial system for different opportunities. We were there in 2013, when the Central Bank of Brazil democratized the opening of accounts, as well as 2018, with the creation Credit Fintechs. And in 2020, with the arrival of the PIX. However, there is still a long way to go! But together with our clients, partners and employees, we can take another step towards this transformation.
